Regus, a global provider of workplaces, has signed a new lease agreement with NEXUS Real Estate at Weerdestein I in Amsterdam – Buitenveldert, for a period of 10 years. The lease agreement comprises 2,110 sq m . Regus expects to open its doors in August this year.
IWG, the parent company of Regus, is world’s largest provider of flexible workplaces, with customers including entrepreneurs, individuals and multi-billion dollar corporations. The network includes approximately 3,300 business centres across nearly 1,100 cities in 110 countries. In the Netherlands, IWG wants to grow to around 300 locations in the coming years.
Hinda van Galen, Associate Tenant Representation at Savills, says: ”Located within walking distance of Amsterdam RAI station and adjecent to the A10 motorway, the office building Weerdestein offers excellent accessibility by train and car. This, together with luxury shopping mall Gelderlandplein at a stone’s throw away, makes this location an affordable alternative for the South Axis. We are therefore very excited to have successfully secured this location for Regus.”
Annelou de Groot, Board Regus the Netherlands: “It’s an ideal location, close to the South Axis, and fits perfectly within our 2019 strategy to complement our current offering with centres just outside the A-locations. The pressure on the South Axis is very strong, with high demand and shortage of office supply. With this location, we can offer our clients an attractive alternative.”
